Digital Photo Restoration
Tricks with Photos

To the Loire Valley & Nuttex Designs©
***************************************************
Hi, I'm Daniel, originally from the London area, now living in France. My wife and I moved to the Loire Valley region when I retired in 1997, and we are still happily enjoying the beautiful scenery, excellent wine, good food and the friendly French country way of life.
In the following pages are some of my general photographic efforts, plus some examples of the photo Manipulations that I have done.
The Digital Restoration of Photographs
Digitally restoring and then colouring old and damaged photos can be a very rewarding experience, especially when the treasured photo is that of a relative or an event of long ago.
It isn't always possible to fully restore a photograph, it all depends on the condition and photographic quality of the original photo, but most can be improved upon in some way. Some photos can take many hours to restore.
My thanks goes to family and friends who have donated their photos for me to practice on, some of which are displayed in the Restoration Gallery. Please remember that all photographs are the copyright of Nuttex Designs.

If you would like a 10 x 15cm glossy print of your photo, there is a small charge of £5 (€7) per print, (inclusive of postage).
Note: Glossy Prints are only mailed after you have approved a copy of the restored photo sent to you by e-mail.
Restored photos shown on these pages must not be down loaded without getting prior permission from me. You may however down load any of the other photos, but they must be credited to Nuttex Designs and must not be used for any commercial purposes.
This photo of the Château in Saumur, stands high above the banks of, and over looks the river La Loire, which is the longest river in France. The Château dates back to the 12th Century. There are 38 Châteaux for the visitor to discover in the Loire Valley, the most famous being the Château of Chambord.
